Cherry Creek Storytellers (a non-profit organization), is dedicated to bringing oral storytelling and developing intergenerational relationships at elementary schools in the Cherry Creek School District.
The group started when its founder Dr. Jim Hilton developed an interest in storytelling during a trip to Ireland in 2013. He began meeting with Cherry Creek School District leaders. They opened their schools to storytelling and intergenerational relationships.
The chapter started with a small group of retired Cherry Creek employees and interested community members. Cherry Creek Storytellers currently has over 30 storytellers and our membership continues to grow. We tell stories in twelve schools within the Cherry Creek School District.
We are proud of our work as storytellers for children.
Cherry Creek Storytellers is a Licensed Local Storytelling Organization of the Spellbinders organization.
